Fairbanks is the gateway to Alaska and a great place to orient oneself to a far north vacation. There is so much to see and do in Fairbanks that you really need 3 or 4 days to take it all in. Allow at least 2 full days to experience some of what Fairbanks has to offer, then, plan another 2 days drive far north into the Arctic Circle.
