Reservations:

Full amount plus 8% tax is required to secure your reservation and will be charged to the Visa, MasterCard, Discover when you process your reservation online. If you prefer to use American Express card by phone call, we will collect all information.
Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed. An automatic confirmation will be sent by our reservation system to the email you provide.
Only two guests per room with no exceptions. This is how our rooms are licensed and we cannot allow for additional beds, air mattresses, or children’s bedding in the guest rooms. Children over the age of 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by a single family member and count as a guest in the room. Although we love animals, we cannot accommodate pets.
 

Check-In & Check-Out:

Check-ins are scheduled from 3pm to 10pm.
Late check in: We will text message or call you the day before your arrival to confirm your arrival time. If you are not sure of your arrival time or will be arriving later than 10pm, we are happy to provide you with a self – check-in option. Please call to make these arrangements in advance. If you failed to use this “self-check-in” procedure, we will have made special arrangements to have someone here to check you in, there is charge of $25/hour Late Check in Fees that will be added to your bill.

It is rare that we can accommodate an early check-in but we are always happy to store baggage. Please call to make these arrangements in advance.

Check-out is anytime before 11am.
You are welcome to stay in our common areas until we close at 10:00pm. But we ask you remove your luggage from the bedroom no late than 11:00am. Otherwise a $50.00 fee will be automatically charged to your credit card.

Special offers Luggage storage is free of charge and you can pick up them between 8:00am to 10:00pm. However, if you want to stay in our common areas until 10:00pm, there is a charge of $35 per person. We offer unlimited Hot Cocoa, Coffee and tea. Additional food and drink items are available for purchase. TV, Wi-Fi and local, national call is free of charge.
 

Cancellation Policy:

A cancellation is any reservation cancelled or changed.

We understand that life sometimes throws a curveball and plans unexpectedly change. We make many preparations, including purchases and scheduling our staff, based on reservations. The dates you reserve are held back from others. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. Cancellations affect us greatly, therefore we ask you to agree to the following cancellation policy at the time of booking:

If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, cancellation notice is required 90-days in advance of your arrival date. With this advance notice, we will refund your credit card deposit minus a $35 cancellation fee, per room reserved.

Reservations cancelled less than 90-days prior to your arrival date will be charged in full, unless your room(s) are re-booked by another party. We will make every effort to re-book your room(s) and will refund any room(s) we are able to re-book minus a $35 cancellation fee per room reserved.

AK Golden Umbrella Bed & Breakfast cannot accept responsibility of inclement weather, changes in travel plans, personal sickness or injury, family emergencies, etc.

WE UNDERSTAND that plans change at the last minute. Even the most well planned trip can have emergencies. Thus we highly suggest you acquire insurance for those unexpected cancellations. No refunds are provided for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows.

Cancellations MUST be made in writing.
 

Other Policies:

Your room rate includes breakfast served each morning, use of the spacious indoor and outdoor common areas, free WiFi, free parking, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks. Visit page of Amenities for all included, in-room and house amenities.

AK Golden Umbrella Bed & Breakfast is a NON-SMOKING & NON-VAPING property. For the health and safety of our guests, smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere in the premises, and a minimum $250 cleaning fee is imposed for smoking and vaping inside the house. Additionally, we do not have designated outdoor smoking or vaping areas; we ask that you walk a distance from the building. Your complete cooperation is expected.

No Shoe Policy: Please take off your shoes when indoor. If removing your shoes really makes you unhappy or you have orthopedics in your shoes, we ask that you take extra time to wipe your shoes before coming indoors.
Lost keys: $25 dollar replacement fee.

Any violation of these policies will result the need to find other accommodations immediately. Refunds will not be considered.
